I'M A

PHOTOGRAPHER

It's all I've ever done...

...and all I've ever wanted to do.

DAVID HUNGATE

PHOTOGRAPHER

I held my first 35mm camera when my neighbor Steve Raeford (he was a professional photographer) let me play in his studio.  I was hooked.  The lenses and lights, the smell of the darkroom and the magic of an image being created on a piece of paper.  I knew what I wanted my life to be.  I was 14.

After heading off to the University of Oklahoma to learn about being a real photographer, I landed  my first full-time job at the NBC station in Roanoke, Virginia. I covered all the basics of local news- accidents, fires, City Hall and courts.  It wasn't long before I was offered a job in Washington, D.C. at Potomac Television.  And from there, I went to NBC News.

I was assigned to The Capitol covering both The House and Senate. The Supreme Court. Federal Court in DC.  And The White House.  Along the way, I have been blessed to have my work noticed and have received a few awards, including an Emmy.

But my passion has always been with still photography. Upon leaving TV, I began Dominion Images Photography.  I have and continue to work for local, regional and Fortune 500 companies as a commercial photographer.  My editorial work appears in various newspapers, national and international magazines and websites.

What does this mean to you?  I have experience.  And for me to be a professional this long means I keep current and innovative, staying up-to-date with the latest technology and the best of trends.  Much in today's photography is trendy and in a matter of months, will looks as dated as your parent's high school yearbook.  Stay away from trendy and be a trend-setter.

From a simple business portrait to corporate annual reports to marketing and advertising,  let's talk to see if there is a way Dominion Images Photography can help with your photography needs.
